Arguably the most prominent RF installation on campus, WREK has a 340 foot self-supporting tower on the west end of campus which also holds the W4AQL VHF amateur repeater.
The WREK tower has the 91.1 FM broadcast antenna, a folded loop 2 meter amateur antenna, a folded loop 70cm amateur antenna, and several UHF or above link antenna for the radio station. The radio station is currently licensed for 40kW ERP, which they generate with about 6.9kW into the feedline.
W4AQL is Tech's amateur radio club. The shack is on the 5th floor of the Van Leer EE building, and at the time of writing there are three towers located on top of said building. The towers are better described if you click on the Virtual Tour link on W4AQL's shack page.
GTPD dispatch is on 868.3125. They also have some talkgroups from the State of Georgia type II system on their radios, but apparently they don't use those much anymore. Their old frequency was 155.580mhz; this is rarely used (except by the student safety patrol and perhaps for events). Scan Atlanta has a good list of frequencies for this system.
GT Facilities has several repeaters located on top of the Healey Apartments. Most of these use an 82.5hz tone, and the repeater inputs are 5mhz above. As of April 2003, a new tower has been constructed on the library building, and it appears that most/all of the things on Healey are being moved to this new tower.
