making a home-brew remote release for my Canon D60; the N3 connector was fashioned with pins from a PS2 connector and some hot glue

my D60 on the cable side I didn't bother to clean up from the hot glue, but it would all come off if I used my fingernails the connector plugged into the N3 socket another view of the connector the connector partially removed, with my gross fingernails the completed unit.  Momentary switch brings the AF/exposure line to ground, toggle switches the shutter. the pins that I removed from a PS2-like connector (actually, I think it was an old-style Mac serial cable, but the same sort of pins are used) after soldering them on to the end of an 1/8" jack stereo cable painting the church across the street from my office with light more flash painting my kar is e7eet
