I started private pilot glider instruction in June of 2002 in
Hollister, CA at the Hollister Gliding
Club. The machine I trained in was a Schweizer 2-32, and I had a
wonderful experience there (and recommend their services highly.) Full
scale flight training is unfortunately something that did not fit in to
my fiscal or temporal budget as a student, but I planned on
continuing through to the PPG and SEL ratings at some point in the future when
I could afford the time and money.
In late 2005 I decided that I was in a good place in my life to pursue full
scale flight training again, so I joined the Indian River Flying Club and earned
my private pilot - single engine land rating in December 2006. I added an instrument rating in May 2009.
